Plett is one of the most beautiful areas in the world and is ranked as the top spot in the heart of the famous Garden Route in South Africa. It is also ranked among the nominees for the "Leading beach destination Africa's" for the 2011 world travel awards. |

Beaches are the best!
Plettenberg Bay has crystal clear water and bright sandy beaches and some of the best swimming and surfing conditions in the Garden Route. The lovely long walks along the edge of the azure sea are often rewarded with whale and dolphin sightings. The beaches are:

Whale watching!
We have whales in the "Bahia Formosa" (beautiful bay)! This picture was taken during a whale watching boat trip. Four species of whale can be seen throughout the year.
Special: Killer Whales or Orcas were spotted in Plettenberg Bay in February. |

Robberg Nature Trail!
Choose either the 45 minutes (2.2 km) the two hours (5.6 km) or a four hour (9.2 km) circular walk on the 350 million year old Robberg Peninsula, which has recently been declared a national monument. Quite often whales come very close to the Peninsula where you can do hikes and spot whales and seals close to the coast in shallow cristal clear water. This shot was taken End of July. This walk is best done in colder weather during winter. |

Knysna Elephant Park!
Knysna Elephant Park is only 10 minutes drive away along the N2 towards Knysna and offers the unique experience of touching gentle elephants. |

Tsitsikamma
National Park
Only about an hour past Plettenberg Bay towards Port Elizabeth on the N2 and towards the Storms River you reach Tsitsikamma National Park.
